Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
SafeClip – Offline (“SafeClip,” “the Application,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is an offline-first application designed to help users store, organize, manage, and quickly copy passwords, API keys, access tokens, database credentials, and other sensitive information on their local devices.
Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use SafeClip – Offline.
2. Information We Collect
SafeClip – Offline is designed to operate locally on your device without requiring an online account.
Information you may choose to store includes:
- Passwords and login credentials.
- API keys, access tokens, and authentication credentials.
- Database usernames, passwords, and connection details.
- Server credentials, secret keys, and configuration values.
- Labels, descriptions, and notes associated with stored entries.
These entries are intended to remain on your device. SafeClip does not intentionally collect or transmit these stored secrets to the developer or external servers as part of its core offline functionality.
3. Local Data Storage
The information you enter into SafeClip is stored locally on your device.
SafeClip – Offline is designed to let you access and manage your saved information without depending on cloud storage or remote servers.
Unless explicitly introduced and disclosed in a future feature, your stored secrets are not synchronized with developer-operated cloud services.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and protecting access to your locally stored data.
4. Data Security
SafeClip aims to minimize the exposure of sensitive information by keeping stored secrets on the user's device.
Security measures, such as encryption at rest, application locking, or master-password protection, apply only where implemented in the relevant version of the Application.
No software or storage method can guarantee absolute security. Users should keep their operating system updated and prevent unauthorized access to their devices.
5. Internet Access and Third-Party Services
The core functionality of SafeClip – Offline is intended to work without an internet connection.
The Application does not intentionally send saved passwords, API keys, tokens, or other stored secrets to third parties as part of its core offline operation.
If a version of SafeClip includes optional functionality such as application updates, crash reporting, analytics, licensing, or external integrations, that functionality may involve network communication. Any information collected or transmitted through those features should be disclosed appropriately.
SafeClip does not sell users' stored secrets or use them for advertising.
6. Clipboard Functionality
SafeClip allows users to copy selected information to their device's clipboard for convenient use in other applications.
Once copied, the information may be accessible to other applications or system components, depending on the operating system and its clipboard security features.
Users should exercise caution when copying sensitive information on shared or untrusted devices.
Where supported, users may clear the clipboard manually or use an available automatic clipboard-clearing feature to reduce the time sensitive information remains accessible.
SafeClip cannot control how other applications handle information after it has been copied from the clipboard.
7. Data Sharing and Disclosure
SafeClip does not sell, rent, or trade locally stored passwords, API keys, tokens, or credentials.
Because stored secrets are intended to remain on the user's device, the developer does not ordinarily have access to those secrets.
Information may be processed by external services only where a feature explicitly requires it and the relevant processing is disclosed. Any disclosure required by applicable law will be handled in accordance with that law.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
Your saved information remains on your device until you delete it or remove the relevant application data.
You can manage or delete stored entries through the Application's available controls.
Uninstalling SafeClip may not remove all associated data, backups, or exported files. You should review your device's storage and backup settings before disposing of a device or removing sensitive information.
Since the developer does not ordinarily hold a remote copy of locally stored secrets, the developer cannot retrieve or remotely delete those secrets on your behalf.
9. Backups and Exported Information
If SafeClip provides backup or export functionality, exported files may contain passwords, API keys, tokens, or other sensitive information.
Users are responsible for storing exported files securely and preventing unauthorized access to them.
If backup or synchronization functionality transfers data outside the device, its scope and data-handling practices should be disclosed before users enable it.
10. Children's Privacy
SafeClip – Offline is not specifically designed to collect personal information from children. The Application is intended for managing information supplied by its users.
If the Application's intended audience or applicable legal requirements impose additional obligations, those requirements will be addressed accordingly.
11. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction and applicable law, you may have rights concerning personal information processed by the developer.
Because SafeClip is designed to store secrets locally, you can generally access, update, and delete those entries directly on your device.
For questions about information processed by the developer, you may contact us using the details provided below.
12. Privacy Policy Updates
This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect changes in the Application's functionality, security practices, or applicable legal requirements.
Any revised policy will be published with an updated “Last Updated” date. Users are encouraged to review this policy periodically.
